Purpose

The purpose of the Kansas Minority Health Advocacy Network is to bring together the key leaders as well as the community-based groups across the State of Kansas in order to advocate to public and private entities for the purpose of being accountable towards eliminating health status disparities in Racial and Ethnic minorities.

To establish advocates across the state of Kansas to eliminate health disparities in Racial and Ethnic Minorities.

Organizational Goals
GOAL  # 1. To collaborate and advocate for effective health, to eliminate risk factors and barriers, to increase access, and to seek solutions that improve the health of Racial/Ethnic minorities.

GOAL # 2. To facilitate health planning to meet the needs of Racial/Ethnic minorities.

GOAL # 3. To foster cooperation among existing public and private organizations across the State of Kansas through the Kansas Minority Health Advocacy Network, Inc. 
 

GOAL # 4. To empower the Racial/Ethnic minority community by strengthening indigenous and grassroots leadership.

GOAL # 5.  Promote the development of effective health promotion strategies through primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention.

GOAL # 6. To advocate for Kansas minority groups’ involvement in local, state, and national Public Health Policy analysis and development.

GOAL # 7. To advocate for increased minority group participation in Public Health training, education and the Health Professions.
