GROUPS

* Anger Management Groups: designed to help children and adolescents manage their anger by learning appropriate social skills, problem-solving methods, and anger reduction techniques. Three Anger Management groups are currently offered for different age groups; please call 316/686-6671 for more information about group leaders, times and next available sessions.

* Active Parenting of Children & Teens: a video-based educational class for parents who seek to become actively involved in their children's lives. Classes focus on topics such as communication, discipline, self esteem, sex and sexuality, family enrichment, and substance abuse. Group is offered on an as-needed basis. * Community Youth Academy: This innovative gang prevention group is designed for boys and girls, ages 8-13 years and 14-17 years, who may exhibit violent behavior and are at risk for gang involvement, juvenile delinquency and truancy. Please call for next available group.

* Girl Talk Group: A therapeutic group designed to help females, ages 13-17 years, deal with the effects of incest. Topics include developing trust, self esteem, identity and healthy relationships.

* Sexual Abuse Survivors' Group: A therapeutic group designed to assist children, males and females, ages 8-11 years, in their recovery from sexual abuse. Please call 316/686- 6671 for more information about group leaders, times, dates and next available session.

* Social Skills Groups: These groups are designed to develop age-appropriate social, interaction and problem-solving skills for children and young adolescents. * Strategies: An educational group for parents of children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder [ADHD] or other behavioral disorders that is designed to provide strategies for more effective parenting.
